Complete education map

Choose a destination, then follow the whole path.

Each ICR pathway has a distinct purpose, sequence, and outcome. Public education may support personal learning or professional preparation, but only the two formal certification pathways can lead to an ICR practitioner credential.

Education pathway

Regulation & Personal Application

For anyone who wants to understand regulation and use the framework in daily life.

— courses
Purpose

Build from core language and body awareness into structured personal practice and the Institute’s complete public program.

Outcome

Certificates of completion document learning. This pathway does not authorize professional practice.

  1. 1
    Begin

Learn regulation, stress, recovery, body signals, and the difference between activation and failure.

  2. 2
    Apply

Turn the framework into personal maps, routines, experiments, and repeatable recovery practices.

  3. 3
    Integrate

Complete the signature public program for a more sustained and structured application.

People, Populations & Community

For learners applying regulation concepts in family, caregiving, aging, workplace, and community settings.

— courses
Purpose

Understand how context, role, environment, development, workload, and access change responsible education and application.

Outcome

Public education and completion certificates only; no clinical or practitioner authority.

  1. 1
    Population context

Study responsible adaptations for families, caregivers, aging, and other defined populations.

  2. 2
    Shared settings

Apply systems thinking to workload, recovery, communication, and group environments.

Energy & Biofield Education

For learners seeking careful education about biofields, Reiki, PEMF, frequency, and related models.

— courses
Purpose

Separate established physiology, developing evidence, theoretical models, traditional knowledge, practitioner observation, and unsupported claims.

Outcome

Completion can prepare a learner for deeper study, but it does not itself confer a practitioner credential.

  1. 1
    Concepts

Establish responsible language for biofield and energy-related topics.

  2. 2
    Methods

Examine modalities, history, evidence, limitations, and communication boundaries.

  3. 3
    Professional option

Learners seeking practitioner authority apply separately to CBRP.

Education pathway

Research & Evidence Literacy

For public learners, practitioners, educators, and researchers who need disciplined ways to evaluate claims.

— courses
Purpose

Progress from evidence basics to contested questions, research design, replication, artifact detection, and controlled annual updates.

Outcome

Completion demonstrates evidence-literacy study, not scientific endorsement or professional licensure.

  1. 1
    Evaluate

Learn evidence tiers, uncertainty, context effects, measurement limits, and causal restraint.

  2. 2
    Investigate

Advance into research design, replication, bias, artifacts, and responsible study of unconventional phenomena.

  3. 3
    Stay current

Use dated annual reviews rather than assuming course material silently updates itself.

Practice Compliance & Operations

For wellness-practice owners, administrators, practitioners, and professional learners.

— courses
Purpose

Build an operational foundation in scope, consent, screening, records, privacy, safety, claims, risk, and practice governance.

Outcome

Completion supports safer operations but is not legal advice, licensure, or authorization to practice.

  1. 1
    Foundation

Start with legal structure, wellness-versus-healthcare boundaries, scope, consent, screening, and claims.

  2. 2
    Controls

Develop records, privacy, security, incident, safeguarding, accessibility, safety, and insurance systems.

  3. 3
    Advanced operations

Address products, supplements, publication, distance services, audits, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.

06 · Professional certification

Preparation is not certification.

Recommended public courses can build useful background, but they never replace admission, required curriculum, formal assessments, evidence, practical competency, or owner approval.

What course certificates mean

A course certificate confirms completion of that course. It does not grant licensure, clinical authority, practitioner status, or an ICR professional credential unless the learner separately completes and is approved through CBRP or CCRP.
