Refund and cancellation policy

This policy establishes the minimum protection for any paid ICR Academy enrollment once paid public enrollment is lawfully activated. A signed enrollment agreement may provide more favorable terms but not less protection than applicable law.

Current sales status

Public checkout and unrestricted paid enrollment are not active. A catalog price is not an invitation to send payment. No paid enrollment is final until the Institute provides the applicable disclosures and accepts the enrollment in writing.

Before the first day of class

A student receives a 100% refund, including fees described as nonrefundable, when before the first day of class the student withdraws, the Institute causes the student to withdraw, or the Institute cancels the class.

Through 25% of the enrollment period

If a student withdraws or is caused to withdraw on or before completing 25% of the enrollment period for which the student was charged, the student receives a refund of 75% of tuition and refundable charges. Any fee excluded from this calculation must have been clearly identified as nonrefundable before enrollment and must be permitted by applicable law.

After 25% of the enrollment period

The course-specific enrollment agreement will state the refund, if any, after 25% of the charged enrollment period. The Institute will apply any more protective requirement imposed by an applicable regulator, funding source, payment provider, or law.

Online-course measurement

For an asynchronous course, the enrollment agreement will define the enrollment period and the objective method used to determine the 25% point before payment is accepted. The calculation will not be changed retroactively.

Withdrawal request

A learner may provide written notice identifying the learner, course, and requested withdrawal date. The Institute will confirm receipt and calculate any refund from the applicable effective date under the enrollment agreement and law. Failure to continue participating may also lead to administrative withdrawal after notice, but it does not waive a legally required refund.

Course cancellation or inability to deliver

If the Institute cancels before instruction begins, the refund is 100%. If it cannot complete contracted instruction after the course begins, it will apply the approved refund and teach-out requirements and will not substitute a materially different program without the learner’s documented agreement.

How refunds are returned

Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method. Processing time, responsible office, contact method, and any different legally required deadline will be stated in the final enrollment agreement before payment.
